  • This year in Tibet there was no rain. The earth is very dry and many villages lost almost all their harvest. The arrival of humanitarian aid is very important for the people.
  • The distribution of aid in Nepu village: each family receives bags of flour and rice and barley seeds for the winter. The children of 18 villages each receive money, a heavy winter jacket, leather and cotton shoes, wool sweaters, trousers, padded trousers, socks, t-shirts, a hat, a school uniform, a chuba – traditional Tibetan dress, school supplies for one year (exercise books, pencils, pens and ink) and soap and towels.

  • The only fuel is yak dung dried on the walls of houses. Trees are very rare due to the altitude and very dry climate.
