Emergency Fund

Over the year 2005, the EMERGENCY FUND of HELP IN ACTION has allowed the provision of medical care to 500 people, who otherwise would not have received the treatments they needed. For these people we have spent 2,850 euro.
We have also been able to take care of a number of children who were in need of lifesaving operations. Mukesh, pictured in the photo with his father, underwent delicate heart surgery.
The Fund was also used to pay the school fees of 50 children from needy families who do not have a personal sponsor.

Vocational Training

A new sewing course is underway and a number of women who successfully completed the previous sewing courses are hard at work preparing school uniforms and clothes for sponsored children. This work will give the women the much needed work experience that they need to find jobs with local tailors. A course was also held to teach a group of women how to produce felt from the waste wool left over from the many carpet factories of the area. This course is part of a more ample project to create in the future vocational projects for the children of Gangchen Samling School.
